Liverpool are now said to have identified their potential replacement for Mohamed Salah, who is still linked with a big-money switched to Saudi Arabia.
The Merseyside club has reportedly identified West Ham United's Jarrod Bowen as a potential successor for the Egyptian at Anfield, according toSaudi Pro League side Al Ittihad are understood to have launched a bid of £170 million , plus add-ons that would see the fee reach £215 million , to tempt Liverpool into selling Salah in the last few days of the recent transfer window.
However, the Arabians' attempt to land the player at the time failed. Despite that, though, they are believed to want to try to sign him again in January. As such, Liverpool are now said to have turned their attention to a potential replacement for their Egyptian talisman, namely Bowen. The Merseyside club has reportedly been long-time admirers of the England international, having watched him for a number of seasons now, and reportedly feel he could be an adequate replacement for Salah on the right side of their attack.
It was Bowen who bagged the winning goal for the Hammers in last season's UEFA Conference League final against Fiorentina, helping his side to European glory, while he has also had a bright start to the 2023/24 campaign, picking up three goals and one assist in West Ham's opening four games.
