The women’s individual all-around final is today, with Simone Biles competing on the vault, floor, bars and beam. Follow along for live results and scores.
Twenty-four gymnasts advanced to the all-around final, and the top six qualifiers will begin the meet on vault. The rotation order in women’s gymnastics is always vault, bars, beam, floor.
Countries can have no more than two gymnasts in each final, so some high-scoring athletes are not competing. American Leanne Wong, for instance, had the 11th-best mark in qualifying, but Simone Biles and Shilese Jones scored higher so only they advanced. The scores from the qualifying round do not carry over to the final.
