A rather complicated weather forecast will bring a chance of spotty thunderstorms today along with some slight heat relief. A weak cold front will push out of Oklahoma later today. In addition, ongoing thunderstorms up in Oklahoma will also slide south. Although many of these storms could weaken, the fact that they're accompanied by a front will enhance the chance for some spotty storms in North Texas.
Otherwise, the advance of this weak front will take the edge off the heat today. Afternoon highs are expected to hold in the lower to middle 90s. An isolated storm will be possible Thursday. NBC 5 Meteorologist Samantha Davies says some of these storms could produce brief downpours and gusty winds.Partly cloudy and very warm with a 30% chance of scattered thunderstorms. High: 95.
