AFL legend Michael Long has completed a 650-kilometre walk from Melbourne to Canberra in support of the Yes vote in the Voice referendum, repeating his historic 2004 journey made to raise the voices of Indigenous communities.Mr Albanese said sharing the continent with "the oldest continuous culture on Earth should be and is a great source of national pride."
"In 1927, Jimmy Clements, a Wurundjeri man like our Indigenous affairs minister, walked to Tumut to join with the Duke of York for the opening of parliament here in Canberra, just down the hill. "He was joined by another Indigenous man, John Noble, the only two Indigenous people at the opening of the parliament. Police tried to remove Clements because he arrived after such a long walk from Tumut, dishevelled and bare foot."What do they teach us?"Our journey since 1788 is just a fraction of the journey that Indigenous Australians have had for 65,000 years."

Russia to show new diplomatic ambitions ahead of talks with North Korea’s Kim Jong UnNorth Korea's leader Kim Jong Un will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin at an unspecified location in Russia’s Far East region later in the week. Kim Jong Un arrived in Russia on board a heavily armoured train yesterday ahead of his meeting with the Russian president. Vladimir Putin is currently attending the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok which is Russia’s closest city to the North Korean border. North Korea Political Expert Dr Leonid Petrov believes the meeting between the meeting is significant for both parties and gives Russia the chance to demonstrate its new diplomatic ambition following its invasion of Ukraine. “Russia has been increasingly isolated and … it’s important to demonstrate that he (Vladimir Putin) is not just someone who is now being sought by the International Criminal Court but also supported by the neighbouring states like North Korea.”

Kim Jong Un arrives in Russia for possible artillery ammunition negations with PutinNorth Korean leader Kim Jong-Un has arrived in Russia for a meeting with President Vladimir Putin to strengthen ties between both countries. US officials suggest a possible deal for North Korea to supply Russia with weaponry for the Ukraine War will dominate their talks which could trigger further sanctions. USSC Foreign Policy and Defence Director Professor Peter Dean says it’s most likely Kim Jong Un will negotiate artillery ammunition in exchange for advanced weapon systems from Vladimir Putin. “From the analysis and the material that’s been coming out about this meeting, it will most likely be built around … artillery ammunition possibly in exchange for advanced weapon systems or technology from Russia to North Korea to support their ever-expanding military,” Professor Dean told Sky News Australia. “Particularly around their ballistic missile tests, submarines and other such technologies which North Korea are desperate to get their hands on as they continue to breach international sanctions and restrictions on their growing nuclear program.”

Kim Jong Un disembarked in Khasan shortly after crossing the Russian border where he met with local leaders. He is expected to continue to nearby Vladivostok where he will meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
