PETALING JAYA: In a national outpouring of love and gratitude, Malaysians are taking to social media in droves to wish Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah many happy returns of the day.
The Health director-general, who has been dubbed a"trusted face" by the nation in the fight against the Covid-19 outbreak, turns 57 on Tuesday .
Harry Harvin was one of a few commenters who found an inspiring commonality with the beloved medical personality:"Happy Birthday Dr... we share the same birthday... hopefully someday I will be someone excellent like you and serve the nation... thank you and your team so much for the efforts fighting this pandemic... Enjoy your birthday and all the best."
Like many other commenters, Michael Tham said he would honour the doctor's birthday wish:"My wife and I we will stay at home for your birthday wish!! God bless you. You're a good man!!"'s Twitter share of his heartfelt wish met with thousands of Likes and Retweets, numbering over 6,000 total.
