The Qantas CEO is ordered into mediation with the workers' union, the Senate holds a hearing into regional bank closures by major banks, and the ASX is in negative territory this afternoon.
Michael Lawrence says banks need to be careful about "unintended consequences of decisions".

Michael Lawrence has asked the committee to adopt a "regulatory roadmap" to support customer owned banks.
