He says a national Voice advising parliament would have been a positive thing to have when his community was suffering. "Without a doubt, I would have loved the opportunity to have a Voice to be able to speak directly to parliament [at the time], rather than have the battle," he said."The leverages I had to go to to try and gain government assistance and support, and to be heard about what tragic circumstances occurred on our island — it was a very difficult time."
