Meet Evan, the 10-year-old who happily parts with his pocket money and gives it to a local cat rescue shelter.We don’t know about you but we’re inclined to think that this little kid is a big, big leged. Meet Evan, the 10-year-old boy whose letters to a local cat rescue shelter have gone viral online.
A few years ago, Evan adopted a cat from the City Kitties rescue shelter in Philadelphia. He was so happy with his new pet that in 2009, he decided to start giving money from his allowance to the rescue shelter .“Dear City Kitties, my name is Evan. I am 7 years old and guess what?…I LOVE cats. They are my favourite animals and I got… My cat at City Kitties as well!! Thank you for letting me get my new cat. I get an allowance every week and I chose to make a donation to you.
Struck by the charity bug, the following year Evan decided to up his game and sold figs from his family’s tree in a makeshift ‘shop’ in his front garden. He made a whopping $86 and promptly donated it to City Kitties .
