Kota Kinabalu: City Hall denied responsibility for a littered Tanjung Aru beach as shown in a video titled “DBKK Gets Corruption Award?” which went viral on social media recently.
DBKK also refuted accusations that a crony company had been appointed for beach cleaning works which has caused it to become unmanageable. “The contract since August 1, 2022 is with satisfactory performance. The company is reported to always comply with the set cleaning schedule.“The scope of the assignment area given to this company includes the Tanjung Aru Beach area starting from the Kinabalu Yacht Club building to Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort and Spa.
