Lookit, there is a lot of anger around Honey G. People believe that she is taking the place of a more deserved contestant on. Take our very own Janet Grogan who missed out a place on the live final when Honey G made it through.
Janet is clearly more talented and so are many other singers but yet Honey G is still in the competition four weeks into the live shows. And with the rate she’s going she will sail through Saturday night’s show too. While a lot of people have been quick to complain it seems Lily Allen has just about had enough of the nonsense and is giving her opinion on the situtation and it ain’t pretty.She joined Annie Mac on her BBC Radio 1 show to talk about cultural appropriation in the music industry. I’m not black but I find it offensive.
“I really want to write politically motivated songs, but they sound really earnest and preachy. I would make them if I thought they would be good and catchy, but where I haven’t succeeded in getting these messages across in my music I get them across through my social media platform.
