PETALING JAYA: A lightning strike on a Passenger Intruder Emergency System (PIES) component at the Kerinchi LRT station caused the delay in train frequencies along the Kelana Jaya LRT line earlier on Tuesday (Nov 29), says Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd.
It said the lightning strike caused the PIES to be activated, resulting in trains from both directions being unable to pass through that part of the track.
It added that free shuttle bus services were also prepared to ferry passengers from the Bangsar LRT station to the Pasar Seni LRT station, and from the KLCC LRT station to the Pasar Seni LRT station.
