A young pilot killed in a light plane crash in South Australia’s Far North has been remembered as a “funny man” with a “beautiful nature”. Adam Snell, 22, was at the controls of a Cessna 172 that crashed at Mulgathing, 289km southwest of Coober Pedy, about 9.30am on Thursday.

Those who knew the passionate flyer say he was loved by everyone. “Adam was so funny and had a beautiful nature about him,” one close friend said. “He was honest and reliable.” Snell, who had been working at Jumbuck Pastoral for seven months, graduated from flight school in New Zealand four years ago.
