Lib Dems ‘could have handled ex-Tory Phillip Lee’s defection better’ says chief whip
The Liberal Democrats have admitted they could have handled Dr Phillip Lee’s defection from the Tories better.
He said: ‘Could we have handled it differently? Could we have handled it better? Yeah, hands up, of course we absolutely could. She continued: ‘I thought the Lib Dems were not a single issue party. I thought we had a soul and principles.’
