A Senior Advocate of Nigeria Mike Ozekhome, has said the Supreme Court judgement on Local Government Council Autonomy means the Federation Account Allocation Committee will not send funds to local government areas headed by Caretaker Committee Chairmen .“The judgement of the government is clear. If you want to receive funds from the federation account, then conduct an election,” Ozekhome said while reacting to Thursday’s judgement.

Ozekhome also stated that with the ruling, local council development areas created in some states are not qualified to receive funds from FAAC.
