Re: “Jordan lacks support — Speaker job still vacant as holdouts move to block second applicant,” Saturday news story. Moderate Republicans need to get over their cowardice and begin working with moderate Democrats so Congress can get back to work for the American people. Right now the moderates are simply letting the hard right be the tail that wags the dog.

This latest war is about history, land and long-held different religious viewpoints. Killing others for a religious cause is ignoring the underlying premise of most, if not all, religions of living the best life you can and befriending your neighbors for the betterment of all. Any deity looking down on this conflict and many others would be saddened.It seems there is no end to the talk, news stories and general chaos surrounding three topics in Texas.
