Letters to the Editor

“Breaking Report” on Ken Paxton’s acquittal, my first reaction was, “I can’t believe it.” And then quickly, with great sadness and grave concern, I realized, no, it’s really so easy to believe. When organizations are allowed to threaten the senators who were voting, and when so many of those senators are already on a path of self-service rather than public service, the outcome will always be that those in power win. Hunter Biden has been indicted on gun charges, and perhaps dad has tried to shield him from harm, but please, let’s get on with the business of securing our borders and lowering this insidious inflation.series on the heartbreak of fentanyl poisoning has been excellent. These are the agendas we need to address. The Texas Republican Senate impeachment members have “graciously” reminded us what the “R” really stands for: revenge and retribution. What a sad day for the citizens of Texas.

Bill Bradley, former U.S. Archivist John Carlin, former Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman, former secretary of Health and Human Services Mike Leavitt, former Utah Gov. Jon Huntsman Jr., Texas Gov.
