Notably, many of the speakers who addressed the council in favor of the restrictions do not even live in the neighborhood. They represent outside groups advocating for “affordable housing” and “displaced peoples.

They worked in Berlin.” We came here as immigrants, envisioning America as the pillar of democracy, the bold experiment where dreams come to fruition. The country that embraces our differences. The role model for the world on free and fair elections.
Granted, I’m an old driver and tend not to exceed the speed limit, but I can’t understand why someone has to pass me when I’m coasting up to a red light, only to have to slam on their brakes to stop.
