One of the negative effects of gambling is that it takes money away from the poor that could lead to more homelessness.
Why didn’t he listen to Texans when he voted for permitless carry when polling shows that 59% of us oppose it? And 75% of Texans believe there should be universal background checks prior to a gun purchase. While traditional public schools are never closed for their failures, charter schools are. I was infuriated by the report from Sen. Lois Kolkhorst, chair of Texas Senate Health and Human Services Committee, providing a roadmap for Senate policy that basically denies science, leaning on misrepresentations and lies. Our state government is sadly laughable!
