In today’s new world everything is being changed, rewritten and whitewashed to become cleaner, safer and erase our history and heritage or change the meaning of things.Article contentbut there is no platform for me to speak. I have always felt that the sentence that was changed referred to all peoples who call Canada home.

Chisholm correctly pointed out that by changing that one word, it deliberately created a schism. Rather than singing a national anthem to show pride to all peoples of Canada, it instead turned it into a divisive anthem. Thank you for your article. I wish there was more discourse on this subject. Too much is changing too fast and I do not remember once ever being asked or consulted on most of them.
