Early morning light in June shines on the memorial for the 21 victims in the Robb Elementary School shooting. Nearly a year later, readers lament that nothing has changed in Texas. The massacre in Uvalde of our children and teachers was an incident that many of us want to forget. It highlighted the lack of protection for our children, the incompetence of some of our law enforcement officials and the dastardly desires of a person who wished to enact pain and misery on those he didn’t even know.
