ICYMI: Letters: Convoy leaders need to learn definitions of freedom, peaceful
There was a “peaceful” demonstration in Ottawa for three weeks. So if I and a couple dozen of my friends decide to demonstrate against the truck convoy, I could run a “peaceful” demonstration protected by the Canadian Charter as well.
I guess bouncy castles and a stage are also “peaceful.” Too bad if their neighbours are unable to open their businesses so that their employees are laid off. Oh yes, did I mention that this would go on for weeks? How long would it take for the convoy leaders to call the police to come and dismantle our “peaceful” demonstration?
I remember during my childhood seeing other children with withered limbs, in wheelchairs, in iron lungs and in coffins because of polio. I remember having to stay for days alone in a dark room because of measles.Article content
