East Bay Times Letters to the Editor for March 4, 2022
As a former part-time instructor in the Community College system, I appreciate your editorial of Feb. 25: “Part-time adjunct instructors spend countless hours engaged in uncompensated “prep” time and extended office hour commitments. Even more concerning, I worried whether each new semester would bring me one, two or maybe no courses to teach, which was disconcerting and devaluing.
There is no remuneration for hours worked beyond our teaching hours and no guarantee of continued employment. PG&E is proposing changes in the rules that apply to rooftop solar, changes that reduce the economic incentives to homeowners of putting solar panels on their roofs.
