That is the question being asked after Tszyu was on the wrong end of an accidental elbow at the end of the second round of Sunday’s fight.“I’ll be honest, I think it should’ve been stopped after three rounds,” veteran journalist Peter Badel said.
“I think they should’ve stopped it ... it was magnificent theatre but I think Tim was badly affected. Tszyu himself wasn’t too bothered by the cut or lack of stoppage post-fight, conceding “these things happen” in the sport.“The momentum was rolling, I was swinging hard in the first two rounds and then boom, you’re blinded completely. This is boxing, this is part of the sport.”American boxing legend Andre Ward though said that there is a silver lining to come from Tszyu lasting the remaining 10 rounds after suffering the cut.
“He’s never had to face that type of adversity in the ring. That’s going to make him better, that’s going to make him tougher and mentally stronger.
