Back in October 2022, it was rumoured that Lenovo planned to launch a new smartphone under the Lenovo branding. That's pretty unusual, as the company has reserved that for its Legion gaming phones in recent years. However, it seems that this so-called Lenovo ThinkPhone smartphone is real.
Recently, Lenovo officially unveiled the Lenovo ThinkPhone. It's been touted as a device for business users, with the"same trusted quality and reliability present on every Lenovo Think-branded device". In other words, the company intends this to be the smartphone version of the Lenovo ThinkPad laptops. To be honest, the Lenovo ThinkPhone does remind us of the ThinkPad laptops.
As rumoured previously, the device indeed comes with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, a 6.6-inch FHD+ display and 50MP primary camera. In addition, it features 68W fast charging, MIL-STD 810H certification, and a Red Key button that can be customised to launch your favourite business apps. But more importantly, the ThinkPhone will have software features App Streaming, Advanced Webcam, and more.
The price has yet to be announced, but Lenovo did confirm that it plans to launch the device in the US, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East, Australia, and parts of Asia.
