The developer has deep experience in commercial residential rental around the world, but this kicks off its long-awaited foray into the local market.

Lendlease, which has already built more than 4100 build-to-rent units globally, will make its long-awaited first move into the Australian market with a 443-unit commercial rental tower at Brisbane Showgrounds.

Construction will start this year and residents will be able to move in late in 2025, the companies said. The building will include a 25-metre lap pool, studio facilities for podcast and music recording, barbecue space, a gym, co-working facilities, dog wash facilities, a yoga room, resident lounges and 24-hour concierge service. The building will target a 5-Star Green Star Buildings Version 1 rating.
