KUALA LUMPUR: Seorang lelaki yang tular mengheret seekor kucing peliharaannya bulan lalu didenda RM10,000 oleh Mahkamah Sesyen di sini atas perbuatannya itu.

Kesalahan itu didakwa di bawah Seksyen 44 Akta Binatang 1953 yang boleh dihukum di bawah Seksyen 44 Akta Binatang 2013 yang memperuntukkan hukuman denda maksimum RM50,000 atau penjara minimum satu tahun atau kedua-dua sekali. “Pihak pembelaan juga memohon supaya tidak melucut hak penjagaan dan kucing dipulangkan kembali kepadanya. Dia berjanji akan menjaga kucing dengan baik selepas ini.
