It’s Peppa Pig versus SpongeBob as Merlin Entertainments announces plans for a new kiddie theme park across town from a new Universal Studios kid-centric park.
The Peppa Pig theme park will open in 2024 north of Fort Worth in North Richland Hills just a 40-minute drive from the Universal kids theme park north of Dallas in Frisco that is set to open by 2026.Peppa Pig theme park set to open in the Dallas-Fort Worth area in 2024.
Merlin CEO Scott O’Neil described the Peppa Pig theme park as the “natural next step in our expansion and rollout” in a statement released by the company. The Universal kiddie park will be broken into themed lands with concept art showing areas dedicated to Shrek, Trolls and Jurassic World.
