The Los Angeles Maritime Museum, in San Pedro, hosted its annual Lego Shipbuilding Contest of Saturday, April 15
Youngsters sorted and plucked their preferred bricks from piles of Legos provided by the museum, which is on the Port of LA waterfront. The competitors then fit the little multicolored plastic pieces together to build ships — in hopes of winning a prize.
