A Kano-based legal practitioner, Barrister Badamasi Sulaiman Gandu, has urged the 15th Emir of Kano, Aminu Ado Bayero, to relocate outside the state and concentrate on his legal case at the Supreme Court. Gandu believes this move would foster peace and stability in Kano State, arguing that the presence of two Emirs is untenable given the State House of Assembly's amended Emirate Law and the Governor's subsequent signing. He also cautions against allowing the Emirate dispute to hinder Kano's development, drawing a parallel with Lagos State's progress.

A Kano -based legal practitioner, Barrister Badamasi Sulaiman Gandu, has advised the 15th Emir of Kano , Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, to leave the state and focus on pursuing his legal rights at the Supreme Court . Barrister Gandu offered this counsel during an interview with GTR Hausa on Wednesday evening, emphasizing that such a move would promote peace and stability in Kano State.

According to Gandu, 'There should not be two Emirs in Kano State, especially after the State House of Assembly amended the Emirate Law and the Governor signed it. Furthermore, the Court of Appeal has upheld the legality of their actions.' He argued that it would be in the Emir’s best interest to step away from the state, or even the country, to focus on pursuing his case at the Supreme Court. The legal expert also urged the state's leadership not to allow the ongoing Emirate dispute to distract them from advancing Kano’s development. He drew a comparison with Lagos State. “Leaders must focus on development rather than being held back by disputes instigated by a few individuals, as Lagos State continues to outpace Kano in progress.” Gandu reiterated that, in the eyes of the law, the 16th Emir of Kano, Malam Muhammadu Sanusi II, remains the legitimate ruler, citing the Court of Appeal’s ruling affirming that matters of the Emirate fall under the jurisdiction of the State Government. In conclusion, he expressed hope that all parties involved in the matter would prioritize the welfare of Kano State over personal interests
