PETALING JAYA: Lee Chong Wei is probably the best badminton player the country has seen, with an illustrious 19-year career that saw him win four All-England titles, three World Championship silver medals and three more Olympics silver medals.
The former world No. 1 believes it was 2011-2012 that saw the strongest version of him.
“I lost to Lin Dan in those two major finals, but I think I was stronger in 2011, ” said Chong Wei in a video conferencing session with the Chinese media recently. “I didn’t think I would be able to play in the Olympics after injuring myself months before the Games. Meanwhile, Chong Wei has hinted at the prospect of a rematch with Lin Dan in an exhibition match in future.
