Bronny James, the son of Los Angeles Lakers' superstar LeBron James, is in the hospital Tuesday after collapsing and going into cardiac arrest during USC basketball practice on Monday."Yesterday while practicing, Bronny James suffered a cardiac arrest," the statement said."Medical staff was able to treat Bronny and take him to the hospital. He is now in stable condition and no longer in ICU.
CBS Correspondent and LA Daily News Sports Reporter Tarek Fattal has covered James over the years as he played at Sierra Canyon High School. "I don't know the details of why Bronny collapse, but it sounds like it was not contact related, he just fell," Fattal said."Thank God for the USC medical staff that were kind of able to get him back on track and able to get him to Cedars-Sinai Hospital."
Bronny, a 6-foot-3 guard, played four seasons for Sierra Canyon School in Chatsworth, California where he averaged 14.2 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 1.8 steals per game as a senior.
