Kira-kira 10% kenderaan juga didapati mengeluarkan asap berlebihan.

“Masalah brek boleh menyebabkan kemalangan, terutamanya semasa musim cuti sekolah dan perayaan sekarang,” katanya dalam satu kenyataan.

Puluhan ribu rakyat kini berada di jalan raya bersempena musim cuti sekolah dan cuti “balik kampung” untuk Hari Raya Aidilfitri. Puspakom berkata, ia kini menawarkan khidmat percuma di 54 pusat pemeriksaannya di seluruh negara berikutan musim perayaan dari 24 Mei hingga 2 Jun ini. Unit bergerak Puspakom juga memberikan khidmat pemeriksaan percuma di beberapa lokasi di seluruh negara.

Ia menggesa pemandu mengambil peluang atas tawaran itu bagi memastikan keselamatan mereka di jalan raya.
