DAVAO CITY – Lawyers of self-anointed son of God and head of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ Pastor Apollo Quiboloy said the recent move of the US government freezing the assets of their client has denied him of due process.
It said Quiboloy is designated pursuant to E.O. 13818 “for being a foreign person who is responsible for or complicit in, or has directly or indirectly engaged in, serious human rights abuse.” Ferdinand Topacio, KOJC legal counsel in Metro Manila, called the recent move “surreal” as he knew “America is a bastion of liberty, justice, and freedom and fair play. It really comes as a shock.”
“The prohibitions include the making of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services by, to, or for the benefit of any designated person, or the receipt of any contribution or provision of funds, goods, or services from any such person,” it said.
