PETALING JAYA: Some lawmakers have voiced caution on the no-confidence motion against Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin as they say it goes against the decision of the Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
“I am a bit concerned. However, it is up to the Dewan Rakyat Speaker to approve or reject any motion. “If I were him and if I have more than 112 MPs, I would get the statutory declarations and call for a press conference to announce that I have the support. Shahidan said the motion filed by Sabah Chief Minister and Semporna MP Datuk Seri Mohd Shafie Apdal – that Dr Mahathir has the confidence of the House – was rejected as it went against the Constitution.“The appointment of the Prime Minister is done by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong so we can’t go against that.
