“I cannot remain a member as One Nation MP due to past attempts at defrauding NSW election funds, and the appointment of a new state executive orchestrated to repeat these rorts,” Mr Latham told parliament., appointing a new state executive with Tasmanian and Queensland representatives including Senator Hanson, and turfing Mr Latham as state leader by declaring the position vacant.
Senator Hanson pointed again on Tuesday to the party’s failure to win more seats at the NSW election as the reason for the federal intervention, and rejected any suggestion of financial impropriety.
