'All it takes is a few good guests and the new format is flying'
Patrick Kielty got another Late Late Show episode under his belt on Friday night as guests provided plenty of jokes - appropriate, mostly - with laughter in abundance, and viewers loved it.
The pair even managed to fit in a duet, performing 'I Just Want to Dance With You' as the audience clapped along and Kielty sported an ill-fitted wig for good measure. The tone of earlier part of the show represented a departure from tradition in terms of the consistency of a notably adult comedic tone which past presenters would typically have abstained from.
Kielty chirped in: "It's very true. I could only manage a ukulele", followed by Daniel's closing joke which was met with rapturous laughter and applause: "I always had a mouth organ myself!" The group claimed to have taken a shot of Edward Carson, the ghost of former Irish Unionist politician and fierce opponent of Home Rule in Ireland in the early 20th century, in a castle in Galway.The show's final guest told a story that was an emotionally turbulent one with a joyous ending.
She then described being overcome with joy when she managed to secure the embryo transfer to a surrogate mother in the country of Georgia.
