The Las Piñas City government will conduct a two-day blood-letting activity in response to the growing demand for blood in hospitals and health care facilities. |

Mayor Imelda Aguilar said the blood-letting will be held at the Las Piñas Café located at the City Hall compound on July 25 and 26.

Aguilar said this initiative of the City Health Office is a crucial effort to maintain a stable blood supply in the city and ensure that patients in need of transfusions and medical treatments receive prompt and adequate care. The mayor said donating blood holds profound benefits not just for the recipients but also for the donors themselves.

Aguilar said by giving a small portion of their blood, donors can make a significant impact on someone's life as each donation can potentially save up to three lives. She added that blood-letting is associated with several health advantages, including stimulating the production of fresh blood cells, reducing the risk of certain illnesses, and enhancing cardiovascular health.
