A resident spotted the cat, took photos and called police.
Officials are warning residents about a sighting of a large cat, that is suspected to be wild, wandering around a residential neighborhood in Lehigh Valley.
The animal is believed to be in the fields behind Hanover Drive in Lower Macungie Township, authorities said. Pennsylvania State Police responded to Village Round at 11:44 a.m. on Sunday, where a resident spotted the feline and had taken some photos of it. Police said there is a chance that the animal is a mountain lion. Troopers have contacted the Pennsylvania Game Commission.
