NARATHIWAT: The Narathiwat Court has rejected the bail application for all six Malaysian nationals, including a dikir barat (a traditional Malay performing art) singer from Kelantan, who were remanded on Monday (Nov 4) on suspicion of drug possession.

KUALA LUMPUR: Langkawi MP Datuk Mohd Suhaimi Abdullah has suggested converting a hotel owned by Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings Sdn Bhd on the island into a museum for deviant teachings .

"There is a hotel in Langkawi owned by GISB. If no other places can be turned into a museum for deviant teachings, I propose the Religious Affairs Minister convert this hotel into one. "It can serve as a reference for people, especially the young," he said while debating the Supply Bill 2025 in the Dewan Rakyat on Tuesday .Suhaimi responded that he did not know how to argue with Rayer on the difference.He then clarified he was referring to deviant teachings. Rayer reminded him that the term"deviant religions" might not be correct, stating that teachings, not religions, may be deviant.

On Sept 11, during Op Global, police raided 20 charity homes in Selangor and Negri Sembilan linked to GISB over alleged child and religious exploitation activities.
