A landslide triggered by heavy rain has closed Jalan Song/Sipan-Temalat in Sarawak, cutting off access between Kanowit and Song. Works Minister Datuk Seri Alexander Nanta Linggi announced the closure, stating it is necessary to facilitate diversion works. A temporary route for light vehicles has been created, but heavy vehicles are barred due to unstable soil conditions. Authorities from Kapit and Belaga districts are monitoring the situation closely and working to restore access to affected areas.
KAPIT: Jalan Song/Sipan-Temalat has been closed to all vehicles following a landslide that cut off access between Kanowit and Song, located 57km from here, on Thursday .
