Land Rover Philippines Has Sold Its 400th Defender; Grows Family To 18 Variants

As the brand turned over their 400th Defender unit to a Philippine customer—effectively doubling the total number of units sold in the country , Land Rover Philippines added not just the Defender 130 to the line-up, but the Defender 110 Plug-In Hybrid variant as well., so now, we’re focusing on the Defender 110 P400e.

Even better for would-be owners, the Defender 110 P400e’s 19.2-kWh battery allows it to cruise up to 51 kilometers on pure EV mode. This effectively raises its fuel economy rating to 40 km/L—better than any sub-compact hatchback out there. It can be topped up using a typical domestic household output in 9 hours or as fast as 2.5 hours using a 7-kW AC wall box charger. Using a 50-kW DC fast charger drops that to just 30 minutes.

Even more curious is Land Rover Philippines’ decision to expand the Defender offering to no less than 18 variants—five for the Defender 90; 12 for the Defender 110; and one for the Defender 130.
