special that highlights homes across North America with the most decked out halls and features for the season. “HGTV is stepping into Christmas with some of the most outrageous displays you’ve ever seen,” Bass said in a press release, as reported by. “We’re going to meet the most dedicated and obsessed Christmas fans around. As a huge Christmas fan, I am excited to host this show!”
Some of the stops include the nation's most festively named towns, including Santa Claus, Ind. and North Pole, Ala., and feature the most ornate spots, like a Christmas Candyland in Dallas, Texas, a 300-acre dairy farm and post office packed with letters addressed to Santa in Bernville, Pa., and a Santa train in Phoenix, Ariz.
“Stringing the lights and trimming the tree is a favorite tradition for many families, but there are some who take it to an entirely new level,” said Jane Latman, president of HGTV, in the release obtained byOutrageous Holiday Houses will air on Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 28 at 11 p.m. ET on HGTV.
