Police say a driver was impaired when he hit a work truck in Lancaster County and took off.Ramon Lopez Jr., 24, of East Petersburg, fled after hitting a bucket truck while a worker was about 20 feet in the air and working on power lines, according to investigators.It happened Sept. 10 in the 300 block of West Swartzville Road in Denver.
Witnesses provided the vehicle registration number, and police stopped the driver.Officers said Lopez's blood alcohol content was .215%, and a blood test also indicated levels of THC, the active ingredient in marijuana.No one was hurt in the crash, police said.Lopez is charged with five counts of driving under the influence, accidents involving damage to an attended vehicle and two summary traffic violations.
