Lakewood dogs brace the rain in Halloween costumes during Spooky Pooch parade

Lakewood dog owners didn't let the rain stop them from supporting Lakewood Alive's 2023 Spooky Pooch parade. The fundraiser for the nonprofit showcased a gathering of costume-clad dogs and their owners at Madison Park ahead of Halloween.

LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Lakewood dog owners didn’t let a stormy Saturday stop them from flocking to Madison Park in coordinating costumes with their furry friends for the, a community nonprofit that benefits from proceeds from the Spooky Pooch celebration. Madison Park was filled with local vendors from pet stores to kennel services supporting the annual parade.

Dozens of dogs and owners sported costumes both classic and creative. A few notable standouts included Taylor Swooft, the pint-sized pup version of Taylor Swift, and a group costume that depicted a 5-day weather forecast.
