Commissioner for the Environment and Water Resources Tokunbo Wahab gave the order at the weekend after an inspection tour of drainage channels at Dodan Barracks, Obalende, Victoria Island and Lekki Phase 2.

He said: “It is unfortunate that people have forgotten that the environment is a master of man, and it is appalling that people can be so reckless in the name of making money.“We got the petition that people are building on the canal here in Gedegede community, Lekki II, and ad such narrowing the primary chanel, so water would pull out and destroy people’s assets.
