Lack of advanced infrastructure hampers Asean, PM tells Busan summit

ASEAN, though blessed with rich resources and numerous opportunities, is unable to reach its full potential due to a lack of advanced and sustainable infrastructure, said Dr Mahathir Mohamad today. The prime minister said the bloc, in its efforts to boost Southeast Asia’s connectivity and economy, is looking at South Korea, which has expertise in infrastructure construction, economic expansion, smart-city development and innovation.
