The government has secured much needed support from the Greens to pass its signature piece of climate change legislation, as Anthony Albanese takes aim at the Coalition for being 'observers of Australian politics rather than the participants'.
The legislation seeks to impose limits on the 215 biggest Co2 polluters to reduce emissions as a proportional share of the country’s 2030 43 per cent target.

However leader Adam Bandt said his party had “negotiated significant changes” to the legislation which included a hard cap on pollution which he claimed would make it difficult for new projects to advance.
