Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass revealed her fears that more immigrants than the city can handle will arrive 'any day.'

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass revealed her fears that more immigrants than the city can handle will arrive"any day."

Bass made her admission Thursday during an event called"Visionarios" hosted by Axios and Noticias Telemundo in Los Angeles, California. The day was filled with interviews of newsmakers who cover the Latino experience."We live in a city that welcomes immigrants, and so I think we have been able to handle it, but I am fearful that any day, planes could start coming," Bass told the conference.

So far, Gov. Greg Abbott has transported over 440 immigrants to Los Angeles, according to his latest report. Abbott started sending the immigrants who arrived in Texas to LA on June 14 of this year, citing the fact that it has proclaimed itself to be a"sanctuary city." "What they're trying to do is destabilize cities," Bass said of Abbott's actions."It's the narrative that these are Democratic-run cities and that we don't know how to govern and that everything is chaotic here.""What’s maddening is the fact that in New York and Chicago, in D.C.

Meanwhile, New York City Mayor Eric Adams announced a budget cut of 5% across all city agencies on Saturday after Abbott sent over 13,100 immigrants there since August of last year. Adams said the cut will"reduce the cost of caring for the asylum-seekers" that have recently arrived in the city.
