Kuantan church celebrates Christmas with Orang Asli, migrants

After two years of low-key or muted Christmas celebrations, the parish community of St Thomas was once again able to celebrate the birth of Jesus.

To share the joyous festivities, Orang Asli families, migrant Indonesian and Vietnamese workers, and university students, were invited to attend the Christmas Masses. About 150 Orang Asli from Kuala Rompin were brought to Kuantan in two buses and given overnight accommodation at the Parish Community Centre.
