Kuala Selangor taking shape to be a much-coveted seat

Incumbent MP Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad, who was health minister during Pakatan Harapan’s short tenure as the Federal Government, is expected to face off with blue-blooded Finance Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz. When contacted yesterday, Dr Dzulkefly, who is his party’s strategy director, said he was the first to advocate making way for the younger crop of Amanah leaders.

“GE15 is critical for us. We are confident that Dr Dzulkefly will be able to retain the seat based on his work there,’’ said Salahuddin. Former Selangor mentri besar Dr Khir Toyo noted that both Tengku Zafrul and Dr Dzulkefly had their strengths. He opined that one would only know how heated the contest for the parliamentary seat would be after Perikatan Nasional named its candidate.
